Etosha (west) In the western part of Etosha National Park the vast white pan dominates and it is easily accessible for viewing. The Etosha Pan is Namibia’s largest inland wetland, a vital refuge for many bird species. It has become world famous as a breeding site for water birds in the wet season. In the dry season, however, the origin of the name becomes obvious. Welcome to ‘’ The great white place.’’
